I currently work as an Exhibit Fabrication Specialist, at the National Geographic Society, supporting the museum workshop and print production teams. In my work, I focus on integrating emerging technologies with traditional techniques. I consider myself a general fabricator, with a specialty for non-traditional materials and emerging digital methods.
My previous fabrication experience includes operating Massivit 3D printers and Flatbed UV printers at Showman Fabricators, working as an Exhibit Carpenter for the Smithsonian Folklife Festival, and serving as a Props Fabricator for Bond's Escape Room in the DC and Virginia area. In this role, I operated a Massivit 5000 3D Printer, swissqprint Flatbed UV Printer, and Gerber (Lectra) Versatech MCT Laser-Router-Cutter combo Machine.
My strong variety of skills include: mold making and casting, digital drafting through programs like AutoCAD and Revit, proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, upholstery, carpentry, and scenic and venue-specific painting.
