Falaj Water Exhibit at Smithsonian Folklife Festival
Exhibit Description
"Visit the interactive oasis farm at the Falaj, where you can try managing the water flow."
The exhibit represents the traditional irrigation systems in the UAE

Made a modular system of trenches to carry water, constructed out of plywood, and dimensional lumber framing.
Coated with Waterproof elastomeric roofing compound
Created water "dams" out of UHMW (Ultra high-density polyethylene), and matching tracks to be mounted inside the water channels.
Aged the water channels with a paint treatment
Installed the channels onsite and assisted with the plumbing of a continuous water system, with two reserve pools
