Vase was thrifted, and pieces were carefully cut with a dremmel to remove safely sized chunks.

These chunks were adjusted with apoxie sculpt until they fit snugly back into the vase. Then molded and casted into a safer material, (with spares)

the actual mechanism was comprised of a modified mousetrap with prongs, made from wire clothes hanger and extra apoxie sculpt to create a sturdy handle.

The mechanism was fairly adjustable and fairly reliable, misfires did occur in testing which would cause the vase to break other parts of itself, but these issues were fixed prior to tech
